Where, Oh Where?

Where, Oh where, has Salt Fork Images been?  Tune in over the next couple weeks and see the tales of an epic adventure.

Aaron, my 17-year-old, and I are leaving tomorrow morning heading west. By the time we get back home we will have travelled well over 3,000 miles and visited six national parks, a couple of state parks, and at least one Navajo National Park.

Our first stop will be Flagstaff, Arizona. We expect to make it there after one brutal 15 hour day of driving. From there we'll step back the distance a little and hit Grand Canyon and Bryce Canyon National Parks. We'll follow that up with three days in St. George, Utah, which will be our base camp for a visit to Zion National Park. From Zion we will head back east to Monument Valley, Utah, and then up to Moab, Utah. Moab will be home while we explore Canyonlands and Arches National Parks. If we survive all that, we'll leave the Red Rock Country and head into the mountains of Colorado for about three days in Rocky Mountain National Park.

The plan is to hike, photograph, and then hike some more. I'll try to chronicle our progress with a few photographs and descriptions on this blog but the majority of my photos will be posted at SaltForkImages.com. Be sure to check it out! - James
